J.Co Donuts and Coffee - CDO Branch Opens Tomorrow!

YES you read it right! J.Co Donuts and Coffee will finally opens here in the City of Golden Frienship- Cagayan de Oro on May 10, 2013. We must be proud of this since it will be their first branch outside Metro Manila.

Finally the long wait is over, no more pasalubongs coming from J.Co Donuts Manila 'coz we will be having our very own here in Centrio, Ayala Mall (Ground Floor) located near the garden area of the said mall.

Just an information: J.Co Donuts and Coffee is a popular Indonesia-based cafe retailer and one of the fastest growing donut & coffee chain in South-East Asia.

Well, if you haven't tried this most clamoured donut brand from Indonesia, better line-up for a long queue by tomorrow. But don't worry, just trust me it's yummy!!! :)

Walk Towards the First Rustan’s Supermarket in Mindanao

Step up to a healthier living on May 18, Saturday and join the walkathon towards the first Rustan’s Supermarket in Mindanao at the Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro City. The event is to celebrate the opening of the country’s premium supermarket most trusted in freshness, quality and customer service. The first activity of its kind in the city, this exciting fun walk for the whole family will begin and end at the Centrio Mall, CM Recto Avenue. Assembly time is at 5 a.m. with the five kilometer (5k) walk starting at 5:35 a.m. and the three kilometer (3k) distance at 5:45 a.m.

Registration is ongoing at the La Cabana Spa and the designated booth at the Centrio Mall CM Recto lobby with limited slots available. Dire Husi Initiative

Couple of weeks ago, we were priviledged enough that we were invited by one of the co-founder of Dire Husi Initiatives~Mr. Rhyan Casiño for a  sumptuous "boodle fight" lunch with my cousins. Dire Husi Artsville's new location is in Mambatangan, Upper Puerto Cagayan de Oro City. If you really love arts, you will surely appreciates the place in itself. 

By the way, if you still don't know what Dire Husi means, here's an info that I got:

“Dire” is a Visayan word for “here” and “Husi“ is a Manobo word for “friend.” We are a youth organization, a creative social enterprise, an artisan collective, a band of world musicians, a training hub, and a fair trade advocate. If that already sounds a bagful, wait and see, because we believe that with faith and dreams, we could be so much more.

SEDA in the City

WOW I never thought I would be one of those VIPs here in our city...why? SEDA Hotel invited me for a night of Glitz and Glamour last June 15, 2013. Well, it would not be possible if Ms. Irene Aserios and Macky Daligdig did not include me in their long lists, anyway a many thanks to both of you. :)

It was really a night full of glitz and glamour, with yummy foods, overflowing drinks, a nice ambiance with a cool music as we socialize with other  friends,co-bloggers, fashion icons with their casual chic attire and some business tycoons in the city. Of course the night would not be complete without a class picture with  the Cagayan de Oro Bloggers, Inc. (the group in which I BELONG) :)

So here it is... a night full of FUN! 

Unfortunately we were not able to be with some of the other media groups to have a hotel tour after the press con but nevertheless we had a quick view of their rooms before we went home...

This is how it looks like inside this four star luxury hotel....
Imagine, there are a total of 150 rooms (from Deluxe, Club and Premiere) which offers in every room a free to use 40 inch LED HDTV with Cable, TV Media panel with HDMI, USB and A/V connectivity, Phone with iPod dock and FM stereo, Wireless or wired internet access, Mini bar and coffee and tea making facilities, Executive desk Safe Iron and ironing board. Cool huh! Not all hotels can cater such accommodations like Seda! Well, the room prices are quite expensive but I tell you it's worth paying for! :)

I almost lost track, not when I received an SMS from a co-blogger JenJaqs that she has 2 free tickets for my kids last Sunday June 23, 2013. Without any hesitation I grabbed the opportunity and brought with me my kiddos to Ayala Centrio Mall right away. Just so in time, we arrived at the area almost 5 pm and so glad that my kids were able to enjoy their tattoos, nail arts, inflatable balloon, choco and juice drinks for free and a couple of games before they were able to meet Finn and Jake for real not on TV. :)

Since his baby brother Josh has a mascot phobia, she's just alone in her photo opp with her fave cartoon network characters.

1st YOLO Challenge: Big Time Manhattan Cheeseburger

Yesterday was their launching of the said challenge and I am so privileged enough to witness it together with my co-CDObloggers, cdo photographers and staffs from 89.3 Magic. Indeed it was really fun being with the whole group.

So here's the first challenge by the way:

BIG Time Manhattan Cheeseburger

This 10" double deck all beef cheese burger must be finished in just 2 minutes. :) Yeah you read it right, in just 2 minutes, but don't worry you can tag along your friends for a maximum of 5 just to take this challenge.

But be sure you can consume it before the desired time or else you'll gonna pay the whole bill of the menu. That's exactly how the challenge must be done. But if you think you can do it by yourself with these 13 slices of double deck burger then go for the challenge as a single individual and consume it in just 20 minutes.

Oh guys, just in case in you can't take that challenge just prepare with you your Php 1,300.00. :)

Kasalang Filipino 2013 Love Badge

Couple of weeks ago, the (hashtag) #KasalangFilipino2013 was so trending over the social media sites and the highlight was thay they will be having their bridal fair in our city: Cagayan de Oro! (So proud of it!) hhHHhhmMm what makes me so excited about wedding fairs? Why oh why?

Okay then, here I go again....who says that only those who are giving birth undergo a post partum depression? Well, brides do also and that's what we called post-wedding blues.:)  Actually, this is really what happening to me that until now I am still recuperating. hahahha It's not that I am complaining about the wedding outcome but instead still thankful that in a way it was indeed a successful event in our life, only that my dream wedding was not able to realize due to financial constraints. :( It was just a simple yet a memorable one. :)

Eight years ago, wedding/bridal fairs like the Kasalang Filipino was not that really hip (for me) and that if there is any fair as such, we can't really afford to book one. lol Good thing  those who are planning to settle down and have a memorable and super unique wedding day nowadays because there are lots wedding planners, caterers, photographers, give-aways, invitations, cakes, flowers, rings, gowns, photo booths packages, etc that are so affordable to choose from... This is what I really LOVE from Kasalang Filipino!

Sounds interesting hhmmm! Since hubby and I were planning to renew our vows 2 years from now, I guess it's now high time for us to contact kasal.com for a best planning result. I guess this time, I could say that we will be realizing a dream come true wedding (since we can now afford) plus my 2 kids as my entourage (lil bride and groom) so soon. ...and that's for sure we will live happily ever-after! 

Kudos to the organizer of the said event! It was a successful bridal fair at Centrio Mall last Sept 13-15, 2013. Thanks to them for giving us an idea on where to go for the renewal of our vows so soon. See you next year for the Kasalang Filipino 2014! :)

Krispy Kreme so Soon in CDO!

You read it right...this is for REAL! Last month, I've got the chance to be with the Marketing and the Assistant Marketing of Krispy Kreme (Mark Gamboa and Nadia Shami respectively) together with my co- CDO Bloggers team for a lunch briefing at Bigby's Cafe. It was a sort of pre-launching of Krispy Kreme giving us an assurance that a month from now Kagay-anons will no longer long for a Krispy Kreme as a pasalubong but instead we will have our own store in the city. They will officially opened their 44th store and the 5th drive-thru in Asia only here at the City of Golden Friendship~ Cagayan de Oro. Their store would be located at Rosario Arcade in between McDonalds and Kagay-anon Restaurant. Seems like every one is so excited!!!


So what's the catch with this soon to open store? Well, aside from the drive-thru KK CDO will have it's HOT LIGHT or the HOT DONUTS NOW sign ! Familiar with this? 

Well if you happen to see the neon Hot Donuts Now sign lit, it only means that their ORIGINAL GLAZED Donuts are rolling hot off the line. Meaning, you can get your fave original glazed donut for FREE but it's limited only for a minute or two I guess! 
Just a tip: they usually make them every morning and evening. 
So if you see the light, STOP in for some HOT DONUTS NOW!

Whew! Krispy Kreme I can't wait with you...See you all there on the Opening 'coz they have so many surprises in-store for you!

Presenting the birthday boy...my son Joshua who celebrated his birthday last May 23, 2013 at Philtown Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. This is actually a long-overdue post but I guess it's better late than never. Actually, I am posting this one to thank the woman behind this cake. :)

I haven't met her before but I always got the chance to see her creativeness in baking through her Facebook account which is Isabel's Confections. Good thing we have a common friend that is why I made a decision to order this moist chocolate cake from her at a special price. :) Oh by the way, I happened to meet her in person when I got the cake on the day itself. Truly, whatever is the outcome that's what she is in person (beautiful inside and out)! Indeed, I got no regrets of the outcome because it was so yummy~licious!!

Something exciting comes CDO’s way. Today, November 15, Krispy Kreme is sharing the gift of joy and glazes a new trail at Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City, making it the 4th branch in Mindanao. This new branch is also Mindanao’s 2nd Hotlight Store.

Fans who are on the go can definitely get their share of joy since the Limketkai Mall Branch is also the 5th drive-thru store both in the country and Asia. The branch opening in CDO City also means that fans from Butuan, Camiguin and Bukidnon are just a ride away! And the fun is just beginning.
